Confidence and Curiosity: Girls at the Telescope Video Series

Many people love sharing their science, but have never learned skills to be more engaging. In this self-paced course you will learn general and specific tips to incorporate in your next event or workshop. Each of the five videos have practical concepts and how to apply them so your next event is more welcoming to all the people who have been told science isn't for them. The videos will be followed by some prompts to promote reflection and there is an attached journal page for you to fill out your thoughts. This of course is useful, but optional. There are also a few exercises and PowerPoints you can share with your colleagues.

Participants will gain the following through participation in the course:

• Access to all five videos and reflection activities.
• Research based strategies for welcoming your audiences to astronomy and STEM.
• A certificate of completion for participating in 1 clock hour of professional development.
